These aren't the best pictures but you might get an idea of how our Madison was last week. We found out on March 17th that Madison had Hand, Foot and Mouth disease. It isn't a very nice thing to have. Madison had it only in her mouth and it made it hard for her to eat. She had sores all over her gums so when she brushed her teeth, they bled. Her teeth hurt so bad that when she chewed, it was painful. Her lips were pretty swollen too. She had a sore on the one side of her lips, a sore on the top and bottom lips too. Those were pretty bothersome for her.

Her tongue was covered with these little white bumps. The one whole side was covered with them. It reminded me of cancer sores all over her mouth.

She had sores all over the roof of her mouth and the back of her throat too. She said it hurt to swallow. Madison had one of her friends brought over a package of popsicles for her to suck on. She loved those. It kind of numbed her mouth and made the pain go away for a little bit! Poor Madison. I feel bad that she had to go through that. We just need to keep our fingers crossed that no one else gets it.
